God's Way, or the Highway!
In 2010, a poll showed that more than 80% of Americans claim to be Christians. At first glance that is one impressive figure. However, if we read what Jesus told His followers in Matthew 7:13-14, we see a serious contradiction between that poll finding and the Word of God.
It is apparent, from what Jesus says, the gate and road to hell are “broad,” and flooded with “many.” Jesus taught in Matthew and Luke (13:24) that the gate to heaven is narrow like the path leading there. Furthermore, Jesus said that the narrow path has its difficulties, causing “few” to find and be able to enter the gate! Scriptures put the Bible at odds with the poll.

Prodigal Daze:
In a life of up's and down's we often feel overwhelmed with the battles that come our way. In his second book, "Thorn Daze," Pastor Zimmer exposes the painful truth of prosperity teaching. Suffering from a chronic injury, Paul longed to be healed. He pleaded with God to heal him but received no results. God had something more wonderful in store than complete healing. As Pastor Paul reads the story of the Apostle Paul's "thorn in the flesh" and how God chose not to remove it, he realized that there are two different types of miracles. One is total remission or removal of the affliction and the other is God's sustaining grace.
"There will be times when God will not answer our prayers as we would like Him. However, God will provide to each of us His sustaining grace to get us through the struggles we face in life," encourages Pastor Zimmer.

Pastor Paul
Paul is both a retired pastor and social worker. He worked for the State of California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing from 1987 to 2000. Prior to, and during that time, he also served part time as a senior pastor, youth pastor, and music minister. He graduated from Azusa Pacific University in May 1973 with a major in Religion and a strong minor in Social Work and was ordained into Pastoral Ministry by the Southern Baptist Churches of America in March 1985.
